My grandma died last summer; she would have turned 80 today. In honor of this milestone, my mom wrote a memorial to celebrate Grandma’s life, which she’s allowing me to share here.
Sally Ann (Ruthstrom) Tubbs
of Sun City West, Phoenix, AZ, and formerly of Tucson, AZ, and Chicago, IL, passed away on June 21st, 2021. She was born April 25th, 1942, in Chicago, IL.
Sally met and married Dennis and celebrated over 60 years together. As a young girl, she never met an animal she didn’t want to bring home and keep. She collected as many as she could get away with. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, photography, traveling, shopping, and taking care of the people she loved.
Her laugh, hugs, and adventurous spirit are greatly missed.
She was proud of and dearly loved her children and granddaughters.
A year without you feels like a lifetime.
There is not a day that goes by that we don’t think of you and all that you mean to us.
Rest In Peace, Mom.
